It's easy and you can make go further than you think.
Start with diced veggies:
1/2 diced onion
1 diced bell pepper
1 chopped clove garlic
Saute veges in EVOO until tender.

Add
1 can drained diced tomatoes
1 can drained and rinsed black beans
1 cup dried TVP tiny crumbles (textured soy protein)
You can find this at any health food store in bulk.
3/4 cup water
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
I add cooked brown rice (optional) when I need to make a lot of sloppy Joe.
It is a good filler.
add more water if looks a bit dry. Simmer until its nice and hot and not too soupy.
